How It Got Started

I grew up in a home filled with love and food was and still is my mom's love language. She cooked and baked all our favourite goodies and no one visits her home and leave without eating anything. 

 

My mom's love language really rubbed off on me and I love it. I really do believe that food is also a love language and I always make sure that everyone around me is fed.

I quickly learnt that the kitchen is not just for cooking, friends meet and share in the kitchen too. I remember how mom would spend hours in the kitchen with her friends, having beautiful and sometimes tough conversations over a cup a of tea and freshly baked scones.

I started Makotis's kitchen the same year I got married. My mission was to share easy recipes for a newly married Makoti. I love sharing quick meals, ideas and I love empowering women. Makotis kitchen is not just about food, I love having real conversations, empowering and sharing ideas. Lets spread love, let us cook and grow together.
